I posted this in the old blog, but Junior aged players, playing with their Junior teams do not count against the 50 contracts. Thus, Dunn, Opilka, and Sergeev do not count. So the Blues are currently at 48 contracts by my count. Thanks for the game day preview a day earlier b/c I'm quite bored today at work.

nice pick up! good information. i would bet ltir also does not count against contracts.

i do not like the way hitch used rattie. he looked good in replace of tarasenko on the top line. so i think you can move him around in the top six and get a better balanced line up.

although perhaps someone like havlet can prove something or other and when we get players back he can be some depth protection in the minors.

Going to be strange seeing Jax on the other side

Focus on the game and get the two points boys

i see that litr does count against the contract number.

fabbri is getting close to nine games. i would assume they would not want to keep him around. he has shown some flashes. but appears to need some more strength. i would think they will deplay him a bit and get him to the wjcs. maybe bring him back before sending him to juniors. or they might want him to be traded to a different junior club. earlier i heard his team was in last place.

I would make him handle the puck every time he gets on the ice.

it will be strange to see him putting passes on the tape of blues players.

i hope he does not cross the line on any of our forwards as he is prone to do.

it will be strange nonetheless.

Fabbri is here to stay. I don't think he looks out of place, and the Blues can't afford to send him back with out top 9 injuries.

Thanks for the info. What I remember is someone saying that general fanager or one of those type sites said we had 50.

Presumably Fabbri does count while he is here though....right?

I think Rattie's days of playing in a Blues uniform could very well be over. If he couldn't stick around with all holes in this roster right now, I don't know when he'll ever get a better opportunity. 18 games, no goals and only 4 assists, not too impressive for someone who's projected to be a scoring winger.

Actually from the little I've seen of him playing with the Preds, he hasn't looked bad. The problem with Jackman has always been that he takes such a pounding night in night out without ever taking the time off to rest and recover that by the end of the season he's usually playing at about 50-75%.

Would rather have had him in Butler's spot but of course he never would have signed for that.

It's possible, and with your take on things I'm not surprised. Not trying to "troll," but I've seen enough of Rattie during his time with the Wolves. He's a whiner. He "shrinks" when the going gets tough.

always this nonsense about physical battles. every player has physical battles. sorry but if i used that as an excuse i might as well stay in bed all day. sorry my backspasms are too much to bear someone else go feed the animals and take bales of hay out. sorry i broke my foot, i guess that fencing that needs to get done will just have to wait and those plants that need to get in the ground asap well shoot i will just take em out the pots and the bare root ones just set on the ground that is good enough because hey i am enduring pain.

my guess is most players over 82 games are playing with a variety of injuries. just a nice pr story for a guy who became decent after al carried him for a year. i think his injuries and missing tons of games to a head where the blues said, and you can find the articles he isn't getting a long contract or good money until he proves he can play in more games and be healthy. then the legend of his toughness began as an excuse for his crap play. if we want to be honest he could have been called for a penalty nearly every shift he played as a blue.

shoot he showed well when he was given a chance to succeed. he has not got a fair shake.

again as to carcus i have not seen fabbri look like he belngs all the time. i can see his potential, but i can also see he needs to build up a lot more strength. he would be crushd in a play off game. he has ability to be sure. i think he will good one day. he can even improve over the season but right now injuries are not enough to keep him involved either.

listing games played and points is also not a fair assesment. better to judge where he was played and look at his minutes per points.

also here is some good information and why a right side dman will be moved at some point in the not too distant future.

yes.

and i suspect if he plays game number ten and was to be sent back down he would probably still count. forty games is the number before his time counts against rfa years and whatchmacallit where he says i want such and such money in front of a impartial judge type person. damn memory.

Never been a fan of Rattie. Always thought he should have been packaged in a trade when he had good value.

Now he likely would be just a throw in.

he battled and blocked shots every night, how often can you say that for petro and bouwmeester? they battle but not as fierce and really do not block that many shots with their body.

you can hate jackman all you want, it's just an example of an overworked horse. He blocked shots with his body and took and gave the beatings back. throughout 82 games it wore him down. by the end of this season you will see that with the predators.

good defenseman, just do not let him touch the puck late in the year.
